Residential, business burglary

Thieves entered a residence on the 800 block of N. Humphrey, April 24-26, ransacked the home and stole a laptop computer valued at $1,300.

The locked front doors of the Family Service and Mental Health Center of Oak Park-River Forest offices on the 100 block of S. Marion were opened by unknown means, overnight April 18, and numerous offices were ransacked. No loss is known at this time.

The rear patio door of a home on the 800 block of N. Harvey was pried open, the afternoon of April 20. A 26-inch flat screen television, a computer tower and a monitor were stolen.

The afternoon of April 24, burglars entered a home on the 1200 block of Edmer, through an unlocked back door, and stole an iPhone, a laptop computer and a wallet. Total loss was estimated at $1,790.
