VIRGINIA COMPUTER THIEF ARRESTED Henrico man arrested in theft of computers | Richmond Times-Dispatch: By Staff Reports A Henrico County man has been arrested in the theft of computers from an elementary school last year. On Saturday, police charged Cavardus Damon Thornton, 18, of the First block of North Fern Avenue with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, three counts of conspiracy to commit felony and one count each of intentional damage, grand larceny and burglary. In addition, at least three juveniles have been named as suspects, said Henrico police Lt. Doug Perry. In December, eight iBook computers, seven chargers and a radio were stolen from Seven Pines Elementary School in eastern Henrico. A pod of classrooms was accessed through an unsecured door, police said. A school security camera captured images of several suspects, which were sent to principals and school resource officers to see if any could be identified, Perry said. Since then, police have recovered several computers, including one from the roof of the school and one turned in by a student. -- Lisa Crutchfield
