Cops: Man Broke Into School To Steal Computer

A city man was caught breaking into Thirman L. Milner Elementary School and trying to steal a computer early Saturday morning, police said.

Fidel Rivera, 44, was arrested on several burglary-related charges around 3 a.m Saturday.

Police said it was not yet clear if Rivera was connected with another computer theft at Milner, which was discovered earlier in the week. Staff members arrived at the school Monday morning and found a ladder against the wall and three computers missing. That case is being investigated.
