Burglary targets North Middleton explosives firm

A break-in at an explosives firm in North Middleton Twp., Cumberland County, netted computers and other items, but no explosives, police said. They said the culprit or culprits broke a window to enter offices at M&J Explosives in the 600 block of Longs Gap Road on Tuesday.

The office that was burglarized was separate from the firm's explosives storage facility, police said.

In 2004, thieves stole an undisclosed amount of industrial explosives from the company, prompting an investigation by the FBI and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the offering of a $10,000 reward. No arrests were reported in that case.
