Laptop only item stolen in burglary

An employee of the S.C. Vocational and Rehabilitation Center in Conway reported his laptop was stolen during a burglary of the center's Conway office, according to a police report.

The employee, an employment coach, told police he was notified of an activated alarm at the center located at 3009 Fourth Ave., police said.

The police report showed the incident occurred between 5 and 10 p.m. Monday, and the officer found a rear window, which appeared to be unlocked, pushed open.

The man told police the only thing that was missing from the office, which included several co-workers' laptop computers, was the computer from his desk, according to the report.
