$2,000 in items stolen from business

A southeast Austin business reported being burglarized between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, with about $2,000 worth of items stolen.
Jason Riles, 42, of Midwest Shows, reported finding file cabinets opened, a cash bag with $50 missing and padlock cut to the garage door at the office at 315 Fourth Ave. S.E., Police Chief Paul Philipp said.
Three computers, a digital-music player, stereo, camera and keys were among the items stolen, the chief said. The burglary occurred between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, he said.
A woman who lives in that area called police after finding suspicious items in her garage, including some of the stolen items.
Police are investigating.
