An investigation is continuing into a burglary at Acadiana High School.
The school's principal, Nikki Broussard, said computers, printers and televisions were stolen during the burglary, which is believed to have happened sometime this week.
Broussard said the burglary was discovered Thursday when a teacher and others from the school went into a classroom for a meeting.
There, they noticed that a window was broken and items appeared to be missing or out of place.
Scott police were called, and both they and teachers have canvassed the campus to determine exactly how many items were stolen.
"It's an ongoing investigation," Broussard said. "We're still gathering information today (Friday) to give to them about the items missing. Right now, it's in the hands of the detectives."
This is the third time this summer a Lafayette Parish school has been robbed. Between June 5 and June 10, about 16 laptop computers were stolen from Teurlings Catholic High School. A suspect was soon identified in that case.
And on June 9, police were called to Northside High School and found that two laptop computers, one printer and one monitor had been stolen after someone entered the school through a window in the business department.
So far, there is no indication that the robberies are connected.
