Someone broke into a William Street business this month and stole nearly $5,000 in merchandise, including computers, boxes of perfume and a plasma-screen TV, the owner told Buffalo police Wednesday.
The business owner reported that sometime between July 9 and Wednesday an unknown number of thieves broke into his company's offices at 1370 William St., just west of Bailey Avenue.
It's not clear how the burglar or burglars got into the building, which is home to several businesses.
Five desktop computers with their monitors, 10 pairs of shoes, two boxes of bottled perfumes and fragrances, two boxes of corporate paperwork, a GPS device and a TV were taken, the owner reported, with a total value of $4,798.
