Man charged after computer theft

A man has been charged in connection with the theft of a computer containing vital research into cancer care which was stolen from a Leeds hospital.

The Hewlett Packard PC was stolen from an office at the Institute of Oncology at St James's Hospital on 2 August.

Police said a 37-year-old man from the east Leeds area had been charged with burglary and remanded in custody.

The computer contained software which was being used as part of a project into radiotherapy for cancer sufferers.
