Justin Trudeau's office broken into, computer stolen

MONTREAL — Thieves broke into Justin Trudeau's riding office and swiped a personal computer early Wednesday morning.
The Liberal MP's spokesman told The Canadian Press the missing computer may contain political exchanges, but nothing sensitive about the party or its upcoming election platform.
'They used (it) maybe for some speeches or some notes and stuff like that - definitely some parliamentary emails if ever they were able to get in to that,' said Louis-Alexandre Lanthier.
'But (there was) nothing sensitive, to my knowledge.'
The thieves took nothing else from the storefront office, Lanthier added.
He said the computer doesn't contain any personal information about constituents in Trudeau's riding of Papineau.
The robbers used tools to break through two sets of locks - one entering Trudeau's Montreal riding headquarters, then again into a personal office, Lanthier said.
But he would not confirm whether the computer personally belonged to Trudeau.
Lanthier believes the intruders couldn't have had much time because the alarm went off, alerting officers at a nearby police station.
Montreal police said they were called to Trudeau's office around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Const. Raphael Bergeron says police are investigating the incident.
