There is good news for students at St. Elizabeth's School in Van Nuys.

Thieves stole 61 new laptop computers from the school last month leaving only seven behind.

Surveillance cameras caught the thieves in the act and the LAPD was able to recover 25 of the laptops.

The school's principal was reportedly going to surprise the school's sixth, seventh and eighth grade students with the laptops on the first day of classes.

After the computers were stolen, parents and students weren't going to let this hold them back. They raised about $1,000 toward new replacement computers, but on Tuesday they received some much needed help.

Southern California Edison delivered 60 refurbished computers to the school and the students.

Students applauded the Edison volunteers as they delivered the computers.

Police say they've made a number of arrests in the case, and expect to make more.
