Two roommates' Mac laptops stolen from CRC on Wednesday

Two Northwestern students reported a burglary from Communications Residential College, 1855 Sheridan road., Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The students, who are roommates, left their laptops in their first-floor room. The computers were stolen while the students spent time in a common area of CRC, University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer said.

The laptops, a black MacBook and a silver MacBook Pro, were stolen from the students' desks. One of the students was able to provide a serial number, which police have entered into their database.

Police reviewed video surveillance but noticed no suspicious persons, McAleer said.
