Computer stolen in raid

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in the Belgrave area of Leicester.

The victim returned to her home in Holden Street to find her front door had been locked from the inside and a window forced open.

She then found the thieves had stolen a desktop computer and hard drive, a laptop computer, cash and jewellery.

The burglary took place between 7pm and 10.30pm on Sunday, September 20. Police have only just released details.

Detective constable Sarah Poppleton said: "We would like people to stay vigilant and if they think they know someone who has recently acquired items similar to those described in suspicious circumstances, we would like to speak to them."
