GEORGIA COMPUTERS STOLEN Moultrie Observer - Thefts total more than $5,400: The value of the stolen items and of damage caused during the thefts was estimated at $5,428. Those who reported being the victims of theft were: • An employee at Express Lane on South Main Street reported a thief pumped $30 in gasoline Wednesday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a red GMC Envoy, driven by a white female, but officers were not given its tag number. • Lashundria Ray, of West Boulevard, reported a thief broke a night stand, pulled a Vizio 37-inch television from the wall and broke out the screen, broke open a safe and stole a BlackBerry cell phone and a garage door opener between 6 a.m. and 2:55 p.m. Wednesday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was estimated at $670. • Shiren Johnson, of Seventh Avenue Northwest, reported a thief damaged a bathroom window and stole a Sony PlayStation 2, a Sony PlayStation 3, a gold watch and a jewelry box, containing necklaces and pairs of earrings, between 5:50 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was $1,175. • Tina Sanchez, of Hutchinson Drive, reported a thief stole a Hewlett-Packard laptop computer and a Compaq laptop computer between 9:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. Wednesday. The value of the stolen computers was $1,900. • David Denton reported a thief stole an Acura transmission shifter and a two-liter bottle of Sprite from his Acura Integra while it was parked at Moultrie Technical College on Industrial Drive between 8 a.m. and 11:14 a.m. Wednesday. The value of the stolen items was $151. • Cheryl Breland reported a thief damaged the driver’s side window of her son’s Mercury Grand Marquis and stole two 12-inch speakers and a Linear TV/DVD player while it was parked on Northside Drive between 5 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. Wednesday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was $900. Breland gave officers the names of two female suspects. • An employee at Norris Bishop Realty reported a thief damaged a Trane air conditioner and an air conditioning unit at a house on Tallokas Road and stole a JVC 36-inch television, a television and a window air conditioning unit between 11:30 a.m. Sunday and 4:12 p.m. Wednesday. The value of the stolen items was $602. Arrests Moultrie Police • Saradeana Bender, 46, of 400 Ninth Ave. S.E., was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct. • Marco Nelson, 25, of 805 10th St. S.E., was charged Wednesday with criminal trespassing and simple battery (family violence). • Calvin Ray Simpson Jr., 21, of 205 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct (third offense) and resisting arrest. While being placed under arrest, Simpson allegedly resisted and struck two Moultrie police officers.

Staff Reports
MOULTRIE — Five Colquitt County residents and two businesses reported Wednesday they were victims of property theft, and some reported having damage caused during the thefts. Items reported stolen included computers, video game systems, air conditioners, televisions, jewelry, car equipment, a garage door opener and gasoline.
