Newark police seek information on computer theft



NEWARK -- Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps law enforcement with a burglary in which a laptop computer was stolen from a Newark home.

Newark police reported that sometime between Sept. 7 and Sept. 9, someone entered a home in the 300 block of North 11th Street and stole a Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop computer.

Anyone with information about this crime may call Licking County Crime Stoppers at (740) 349-6888 or (888) 488-9058. A coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows the reward to be issued later.

Crime Stoppers also takes calls with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers board.
