YONKERS — A 48-year-old Bridgeport, Conn., man was arrested in Yonkers after he was found with two stolen laptop computers worth $1,600.
Arrested was Frederick Rogovsky of 141 Summit St.
First Precinct Officers Charles Baker and Daniel Carpenter went to Best Buy at 2478 Central Ave. at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a man employees suspected in the Jan. 25 theft of a video camera from the store.
Yonkers police said Rogovski had a device in his pocket that is used to remove security alarms from products. Police also found in his car the two laptops, which had been stolen from Staples in Greenwich, Conn., earlier in the day.
Rogovsky was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and possession of burglary tools, a misdemeanor. Rogovsky has not been charged so far in the video camera theft.
