£3,000 laptop haul from school

BURGLARS stole ten laptop computers worth £3,000 from Norden Primary School.

The crime took place between 6.20pm on Friday 15 January and 9am on Monday 18 January.

Police are now warning people not to purchase an Acer laptop from an unlicensed dealer or contact the station if they have any further information about the theft.

Inspector Lin Houldershaw said: "This really is a sickening burglary.

"To steal computers from a primary school is a very cowardly act and has left the children and staff understandably upset.

"We will do everything we can to find these thieves and I would ask the public to help us to root them out and bang them up.

"They might try to sell the laptops on so please, if you are offered this type of laptop and are suspicious, call us immediately."
