Downtown Budapest Fidesz office burgled

Thieves broke into the downtown Cukor utca Fidesz chapter office and stole computers, a television and an amplifier worth a total of Ft 1.5 million early Sunday, executive deputy chairman András Puskás told MTI Monday.

A 40-year-old man from the Eighth District was identified with the help of CCTV cameras and captured Monday afternoon, a Budapest Police press officer said.

Some of the stolen electrical equipment was found in his flat in a subsequent house search. Police are still looking for the man's accomplice.
