Police search for suspect in laptop theft

Utah State University police are looking for a man they say may have information about a stolen computer. Police Sgt. Travis Dunn issued a still image from surveillance video taken the evening of Oct. 8 at the school's Living Learning Center.

Dunn said a laptop computer was stolen from a common area in the LLC, and now police want information about who took it.

Investigators obtained an image of a man with dark hair wearing a striped hoodie and blue jeans walking into the LLC the evening the property was reported stolen.

Dunn said he showed the picture to resident advisers who live in the buildings but so far, no one has recognized the man in the picture.

Investigators will check local pawn shops to find out if the item has been sold, Dunn said.
