Pregnant woman robbed of laptops

- December 29, 2010
TWO masked men who held a heavily pregnant woman at gunpoint in Sydney's eastern suburbs may have been seeking information held on laptop computers they stole from her.
The 19-year-old woman, who is eight months pregnant, was upstairs in her home at Maroubra about 6pm (AEDT) yesterday when she was confronted by two men armed with a gun and a knife.
Police say the balaclava-clad men stole several laptops before fleeing the Beauchamp Rd house.
"Whether specifically there was something on the laptops, we're not sure and detectives this morning will be following those sorts of inquiries," police Superintendent Gavin Dengate said today.
The attack on a pregnant woman was "disgraceful", he said.
The woman was not hurt but was left badly shaken.
The offenders are described as being solidly built and wearing dark-coloured clothes, balaclavas and gloves.
