The video, taken at about 9:40 p.m. on Nov. 28, depicts a compact SUV or crossover style vehicle leaving the campus via the north gate onto Alameda de las Pulgas, Police Lt. Pat Halleran said.
Investigators have finished reviewing four and a half days of footage from Carlmont High's 31 video cameras and are labeling the vehicle a "vehicle of interest" in connection with the $50,000 theft.
Various businesses and community members throughout the area have stepped up to help Carlmont High following the major loss of equipment.
The equipment taken was primarily used by English-Language learners, but the school's government/economics class also utilized the computers and iPods.
Belmont police are continuing their investigation into the theft, and encourage anyone with information to call the Police Department at (650) 595-7400 or the Police Tip Line at (650) 598-3000. Callers may remain anonymous.
