Laptops Stolen in Brazen Robbery

EL PASO- While most are celebrating the Christmas holiday, one local business is trying to figure who would rob them right before Christmas.

 Thousands of dollars worth of laptops were taken from a local computer repair shop, and as Matt Rivers reports, the owners are left picking up the pieces.

"We had the intruder come in.  He broke over glass here it looks like, from what it looked like, he kicked it in," co-owner Fernando Medina told us, as he walked us through what happened.

It was a bold robbery, just days before Christmas.  The thief busted through the front door, shattering glass as he came.

Security cameras caught the whole thing on tape, as the robber moved his way through the store, undeterred by ringing alarms.

He stole laptops already repaired.  Customers have been notified, and laptops will be replaced.

Although over in a flash, the robbery has left a lasting impact. in all, ten laptops were stolen, at an approximate cost of 7 to 8 thousand dollars.

"I'm feeling very frustrated, I'm feeling very violated in the business," said co-owner Gabriel Ayub.

The pair built the business from the ground up, and although this crime won't close their doors, it hurts all the more during a recession.

"we've been in business for about six years and this has been by far our worst year.  It's just not a good time for this to happen," Gabriel told us.

So far, police have no suspects in the case.  Grainy security cameras didn't provide any clues on the thief's identity, so Computer Experts is asking for your help.
