WISCONSIN COMPUTER STOLEN http://www.nbc15.com/health/headlines/Dean_and_St_Marys_Hospital_Patients_Notified_After_Laptop_Stolen_112191264.html

THIEVES who stole computers, a telelvision set and a Christmas tree from a Douglas primary school are being sought by police.
The burglars struck at Kewaigue Primary School between 8.30pm on Wednesday, December 15, and 8.30am the following day.
The window of a prefabricated classroom behind the main school building was smashed to gain access and five Apple Macbook Pro laptop computers as well as the television set were stolen.
The computers in particular are highly recognisable because they are a model produced specifically for school use and are not available on the open market.
They are white and numbered 30 to 34 in permanent marker in the top left corner.
They are of little use outside a classroom environment.
Head teacher Tracy Willoughby said each classroom had five laptops to support the children’s learning and this had left one group of seven-to-nine-year-olds without.
‘It means we now have fewer resources which may have to be reallocated, and it’s the inconvenience,’ she said. ‘The children could not use their classroom while the police were there and glass was being cleaned up.’
She confirmed the computers are networked to the school’s main computer server and are therefore of little use elsewhere.
Police have reminded people to keep their properties secure over the Christmas period by locking doors and keeping valuables out of sight of people looking in.
Anyone with information should contact Douglas police on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
