BlueStar offices burglarized again

For the second time in less than three weeks, BlueStar has been burglarized. Sometime in the pre-dawn hours of Jan. 11, a burglar broke into the pro-Israel marketing company’s downtown San Francisco office, stealing computer and video equipment.

After looking at video captured by security cameras of the introduder in the act, police said the same person who committed this theft also committed one on Dec. 26, during which computers were stolen. The recent break-in took place despite new reinforced doors installed after the first theft.

BlueStar president Jonathan Carey said this latest incident was not as bad as it could have been. All computer files had been backed up and stored off-site. Carey and the police do not believe the thefts have anything to do with BlueStar’s PR and pro-Israel work.
