Burglars Take Field Trip Money, Computers From School

PALM BAY, Fla. -- Burglars broke into Palm Bay Elementary School over the weekend and stole computers and field trip money, Palm Bay police said.

A custodian discovered the burglary when he showed up at the school Tuesday morning.

Six laptops, a desktop computer, and more than $150 in cash and gift cards were taken, according to police.

Police believe the burglars got into the school sometime over the weekend. The school was closed Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
