The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating five burglaries at westside churches that occurred between Dec. 20 and Monday.
Police believe the incidents are related.
Sometime during the overnight hours between Dec. 20 and 21, burglars entered the Hamlin New Testament Church, 2179 Lake Road, Clarkson, by breaking out a basement window. Credit cards and cash were stolen.
That same night, burglars pried open the windows of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3747 Brick Schoolhouse Road, Hamlin. Once inside, the burglars stole a flat-screen television, two computers and the church sound system.
Between Dec. 24 and 26, burglars entered the United Methodist Church, 21 West Ave., Hilton, by breaking a window lock. Nothing was stolen.
During the overnight hours of Dec. 27 and 28, someone broke into Grace Baptist Church, 5220 Lake Road, Sweden, and stole two projectors and two laptop computers.
And between Sunday and Monday, suspects pried open a window at Morton Baptist Church, 1152 County Line Road, Hamlin, entered the building and pried open several doors.
Nothing was reported stolen.
Anyone with information about the cases is asked to call 911.
