Stolen computer leaves church workers worried
Posted on February 23, 2011, Wednesday
SIBU: Thieves stole from a church in Sukun Road after they cut a hole on its fence to enter from its library on Sunday night.
Stolen were a desk top computer, an amplifier set and cash.
Church workers were worried with the missing of the computer now because it contained vital information of their religious organisation and activities.
They called for public help to trace for it and hoped computer service centres operators would inform them if the computer was brought to them for breaking of password.
A church member believed the theft could have occurred on Sunday after nightfall when the church compound was empty.
He said they discovered the theft at 4pm on Monday and they called in the police and total loss was estimated at RM5,000.
