ROSWELL, Ga. - Police are hunting for some smash and grab thieves who stole thousands of dollars in computer equipment from a Roswell charter school.
It happened at the Fulton Sunshine Academy Elementary School located on Northmeadow Parkway. The school has only been open six months and the computer lab where the thieves hit had only been open three months.
It happened at the Fulton Sunshine Academy Elementary School located on Northmeadow Parkway. The school has only been open six months and the computer lab where the thieves hit had only been open three months.
Parents discovered a shattered window, and 21 computer towers and 11 monitors missing from the lab around 6.a.m. The school only has 24 computers.
"Sometime during the night some thieves smashed and grabbed the computers from our new computer lab," said assistant principal Annette Higgins.
The school had no surveillance cameras so the thieves were not caught on tape. Police did say they recovered some physical evidence but did not elaborate what that evidence may have been.
The school says they did have insurance and do plan to recover from the setback.
