100 Ypsilanti Public Schools Computers Stolen

YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of 100 iMac computers from two schools in the Ypsilanti Public Schools district.The computers were taken from West Middle School and George School.Watch:
School Says More Than 100 iMac Computers Stolen From Classrooms"The features were easy to use and simple to get to," said seventh-grade student Justin Stovall. "It was just weird, seeing our empty desks."The school said windows were broken in more than 10 classrooms this past weekend. The computers' power cords were cut, the school said.The school said the iMacs were bought less than two years ago after taxpayers passed a bill to upgrade the district's technology in classrooms.Anyone with information on the missing computers are asked to call the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office at 734-973-7711 or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAKUP.
