MANILA, Philippines -- The Land Bank Capitol Branch in Pasig City lost a number of items including computers to still unidentified thieves who barged inside their establishment early Saturday morning, police Sunday said.
Reports reaching the Pasig City Police Office disclosed that they have received a report Sunday regarding a robbery that occurred at the Office of the Land Bank Capitol branch last Saturday.
Police said a still undetermined worth of computers and other items were stolen by the thieves who broke inside the establishment early Saturday morning.
It was learned that the incident was first discovered by the janitor of the bank who saw that the cabinets inside were in a mess, the drawers opened, and the computers of the office already missing.
Initial investigation disclosed that the suspects forcibly opened a padlocked window grill of the Head Office in order to enter.
It added that the security guard that was posted in front of the Bank's main door didn't see anything suspicious; with the suspects most likely to have used another route to go in and out of the establishment.
While the Land Bank branch are currently undergoing some inventory check to determine the total amount of the stolen items, the Pasig City Police are currently conducting a follow-up investigation to identify and arrest the suspects.
Police is also expected to check the close circuit television (CCTV) camera of the bank to help them with their investigation.
Meanwhile, a supervisor for a private company lost more than P40, 000 worth of gadgets when her house in Pasig City was robbed by a thief Saturday morning, police Sunday said.
In a report police, the Pasig City Barangay Security Force identified the victim as Jessica Paluganas, 27, a supervisor for a private company and a resident of 70-D A Flores St., Barangay Bagong Ilog.
It was learned that the victim came to the barangay headquarters at about 8 a.m. to seek help in finding and arresting a certain "Boyet", who allegedly broke inside her house and robbed her of a number of items.
Paluganas said that only at about 6:30 a.m. that she discovered that her belongings were already missing. (With SPA)
