Actress Melanie Laurent's Magical Moments With Mcgregor Stolen

Inglourious Basterds star Melanie Laurent has lost the "making of" footage she shot as she filmed new movie Beginners with Ewan Mcgregor after a thief stole her computer.

The budding filmmaker, who has just shot her first feature, had many magic moments downloaded on her computer - and now she fears they're all lost for good.

And she's particularly upset that she won't be able to browse through the shots she took of her and MCGregor as they got to know each other at a theme park.

The French actress explains, "I was in L.A. for two days and (director) Mike (Mills) had me meet Ewan at Magic Mountain. We took the roller coaster together and I didn't want to do it because I was so scared.

"It's funny because I used to love roller coasters as a kid but when I grew up I had all this fear.

"I had my flip camera and I was just filming our faces screaming. It was in my computer and someone just stole my computer in Paris, so I lost all the little movies I had. I had a lot of 'making of' movies from the set. I'm stupid that I didn't save back-ups but I didn't."
