Arrest made in School Computer Theft - NBC29

Albemarle County Police Department 
Press Release

Albemarle County Police have made an arrest in the theft of 111 computers from the Albemarle County Public Schools.

Information garnered from the Greene County Sheriff's Office aided the Albemarle County Police in obtaining a warrant of arrest for Alex C. Hunt, 34 years of age of Stanardsville, Virginia.

Mr. Hunt has been charged with one count of grand larceny totaling $110, 000.00 dollars. Mr. Hunt has been released on a $10,000.00 unsecured bond and is awaiting a bond review on Monday, May 2, 2011.

The investigation into to this matter has been ongoing, the collaborative effort between the Police Department, the Greene County Sheriff's Office, the Albemarle County School Division and concerned citizens aided in the arrest of Mr. Hunt.
