Computer stolen from church

ELIZABETHTON — A thief broke into the Apostolic Christian Church, 123 Emmanuel Drive, on Monday and stole an HP laptop computer.

Edward Davis, minister of the church, told Deputy Ashley McCall of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department that there was also damage sustained to filing cabinets, interior doors, files and a desk.

Davis said it appeared the thief entered the church through a window on the left side of the church. The investigation was continuing.
