Tuesday, July 26th 2011 14:42
Police are investigating a report of a burglary at a boathouse in Gurnard.
Someone broke into the building on the shore path off Shore Road and made off with a silver and black Apple iMac computer which according to the manufacturer is worth upto £900.

The computer had a unique mark, made by glue residue on the top left-hand corner. The machine's serial number was 3U8080171SC.

The break in took place sometime between 10pm on Thursday, July 21 and 6am on Friday, July 22, 2011.

Police say house-to-house and forensic enquiries have been carried out in and around the boathouse since Friday.

The Cowes Safer Neighbourhoods team is appealing for information from anyone who is aware of an Apple iMac computer being sold second-hand in suspicious circumstances.
