HONOLULU (AP) — Honolulu police have recovered about half of the 60 white Apple MacBook laptops stolen from an Oahu elementary school over the weekend.
KHON (http://bit.ly/p0bJJF ) reported police believe the remaining laptops have either been sold to unsuspecting buyers or disposed of near the school, Leihoku Elementary in Waianae.
Police on Tuesday were in the process of recovering laptops that were already sold.
Hawaii News Now (http://bit.ly/n5zPIC ) reported those who think they may have bought one of the stolen computers should bring the laptop in to the Waianae or Kapolei police stations.
Leihoku Elementary Principal Randall Miura estimated the stolen laptops were worth about $100,000.
