Beitbridge Bureau — THIEVES broke into Vhembe High School laboratory in Beitbridge on Sunday night and stole seven computers worth US$2 500 donated by President Mugabe in 2007.
The suspects took away eight monitors and seven central processing units.
It is reported that the thieves gained entry into the laboratory after breaking the door with bolt cutters.
Officer Commanding Beitbridge District, Chief Superintendent Lawrence Chinhengo, confirmed the incident yesterday, adding investigations were in progress.
"We are still investigating the matter and no arrests have been made so far. We are appealing to anyone with information to contact the nearest police station. We believe there is a syndicate involved in these criminal acts" he said.
The suspects left a bolt cutter at the crime scene.
