50 laptops stolen from Massabesic High School

WATERBORO, Maine — Approximately 50 laptop computers vanished from Massabesic High School Monday night after unidentified burglars broke into the school, according to the York County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspects entered the East Building of the school and removed the computers and a projector, according to a news release. Entranced was gained to the building by prying open a rear window.
The Apple MacBook computers were used in Massabesic’s freshman academy. They are all white and have stickers proclaiming that they are the property of RSU 57, the release said.
RSU 57 Technology Coordinator Bob Stackpole estimates the replacement cost for each computer is $1200.
