POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that took place in a Suffolk high school.
It happened in the early hours of this morning at about 12.30am at East Bergholt High School on Heath Road.
At about this time the caretaker received an alert saying the alarm had been sounded at the school. On investigation he found a window open in the music room and around 14 specialised Apple computers used in music lessons, had been taken from the premises.
Ten Dell laptops had also been taken from the same location.
Sgt Christopher Chaplin said: “These PCs are highly prized by the school and will be a major blow to their music department. Our enquiries are on going and I’d appeal for anyone who knows of their whereabouts or saw any suspicious activity in the area at about midnight to call police.”
Anyone who witnessed the burglary, saw any suspicious activity or has knowledge of it, should contact Sgt Christopher Chaplin at Sudbury police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
