Oakdale Police Blotter: Home Burglarized While Residents Slept
In other reports, a driver fled after police tracked down a stolen vehicle and two suspects got caught with stolen scrap metal.
One or more burglars entered a home on 25thStreet while its residents were sleeping and stole computers, a cell phone and a wallet overnight between March 23 and 24, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
It appeared that they entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway at the home, and then opened the garage door before going into the house, according to the report.
From the home—located in the 7200 block of 25th Street—they stole two laptops worth $2,300 total, an iPhone worth $400, a wallet that contained a driver’s license and financial cards, $40 cash and a set of keys, the report says. A vehicle was stolen from the driveway, and later recovered in Forest Lake, according to the report.
