Friday, April 6th, 2012
(New Braunfels, TX) -- New Braunfels Police are on the lookout for two men that smashed their way into a local cell phone store early yesterday morning, stealing several hundred dollars worth of merchandise.
According to police, at just before 4am two men used a metal object to break the front glass of the A’s Wireless/T-Mobile store in the 12-hundred block of I-35 South, next to Shipley’s Donuts (behind Mr. Gatti’s on Walnut Avenue).
The men then smashed open a couple of display cases and stole several cell phones and laptop computers, but several other display cases refused to break, and the thieves then fled the store through the back door.
New Braunfels Police say the entire incident was captured on the store’s video surveillance cameras. The suspects are described as white males in the early 20’s with medium builds. One man had dark hair and was wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and denim shorts. The other was wearing a white shirt, dark-colored shorts, and a hat with some sort of logo on it.
Anyone with information on that burglary is asked to call New Braunfels Police at 221-4100 or call Crimestoppers anonymously at 620-TIPS or log on tohttp://www.comalcrimestoppers.org.
