NBISD's 9th Grade Center Burglarized - 30+ iPads & Computers Stolen

(New Braunfels, TX) --  Several thousand dollars worth of electronics was stolen from the NBISD after the district’s 9th Grade Center was burglarized and vandalized Sunday night.  

New Braunfels Police and NBISD officials are working together to investigate that break-in.  District officials say that the burglary happened sometime Sunday night.  A total of 6 classrooms were broken into along with several offices.  

After vandalizing those rooms, the thief or thieves were able to make off with around 30 iPads, several laptop computers, and several pieces of computer accessories.  

The break-in was discovered as campus staff began arriving at school Monday morning, and the investigation was ongoing as students began to arrive for school.  So, several classes were relocated for a short time, with all students returning to their normal classrooms by 2nd period, which starts at 10am.  

NBISD officials later sent out an alert on the district’s notification system to parents of students at the 9th Grade Center explaining the situation and asking anyone with information on the break-in to contact New Braunfels Police at 221-4100 or to call Crimestoppers anonymously at 620-TIPS.
