LAS CRUCES — Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person or person who stole several brand new notebook computers and docking stations from New Mexico State University.
On Tuesday, New Mexico State University police learned that 15 Hewlett Packard notebook computers and 15 HP Advanced Docking Stations were stolen from a room in Gerald Thomas Hall. The notebook computers and docking stations were all new and still packaged in their original boxes.
The notebook computers are all HP Model 8470P and silver in color. The docking stations are all black. The value of the items stolen is estimated at more than $15,000.
NMSU police believe the theft occurred sometime between the early evening of Friday and Tuesday morning.
Anyone with information that can help locate the stolen computers and docking stations, or identify the person or person responsible for the theft, is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
