CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Several computers were stolen from a South Side Washington Park neighborhood school within the past week, police said Wednesday.

The theft occurred between March 28 and April 2 at an elementary school in the 5700 block of South Michigan Avenue, according to an alert from Wentworth District police.

William Carter Elementary School is located in that block, according to an online directory.

The thieves took several Dell laptop computers, the alert said.

Police have no description of the thief or thieves, and no other details on the incident.
