AYER -- Police are investigating the theft of 10 Apple laptop computers that were stolen from the Ayer Shirley Regional High School.

Over the weekend, someone broke into the high school buy smashing a window, said police Lt. Brian Gill. Several rooms were broken into, but in one of them, 10 Apple laptop computers were stolen, he said.

Police are working with school officials to obtain the serial numbers of the stolen computers, Gill said.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Ayer police at 978-772-8200.
