Barton PeverilBarton Peveril
THIEVES have stolen £21,000 worth of computers after breaking in to a class room at a Hampshire school.
Staff at Barton Peveril opened up their IT suite to discover that 21 Apple Imac machines had been taken.
Burglars had forced open a window on the first floor room before making off with the computers, which are valued at £1,000 each.
It is believed that the technology is unusable unless connected to the college network due to their customised software.
Apple UK has been informed in the hope that the firm can identify any machine that connects to the Internet.
Crime scene investigators have been working at the college in a bid to track down the people responsible.
Anyone who witnessed the break-in, which happened sometime over the weekend of April 27, should contact PC Iain Wilson from theEastleigh Safer Neighbourhoods team on 101.
Alternatively they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
