UPDATE: Computer Equipment Stolen at Twin Falls County Building
TWIN FALLS - Twin Falls police are investigating a burglary at a county treatment and recovery clinic.
At first, Twin Falls County commissioners said urine samples, a fingerprint screener and computers were taken from the building at 239 Third Ave. W. this weekend. Later Monday, they corrected themselves, saying that only computer equipment was taken.
The theft occurred sometime between Friday, Oct. 4, and Sunday, Oct. 6, Commissioner Leon Mills said.
Police are taking statements and doing interviews, city spokesman Joshua Palmer said Monday afternoon.
Police confirmed that computers were stolen.
There was no sign of forced entry, Commissioner Terry Kramer said.
"There are only locks on the door for that area, no deadbolts," he said. "We might want to consider adding deadbolts."
Security cameras in the parking lot and the building may help capture the thief, Kramer said.
