During only its first week of business after its Dec. 27 grand opening, the Simply Mac store at Kimball Junction was burglarized by an unknown suspect last Wednesday night, with roughly $5,000 worth of merchandise stolen.
Summit County Sheriff's Dispatch received a call from an employee at Simply Mac on Thursday morning that glass from the front door had been broken out. Merchandise including several iPads, a desktop computer, a Macbook laptop and Macbook Pro batteries was found stolen, according to Summit County Sheriff's Capt. Justin Martinez.
Evidence was collected at the scene and video surveillance was given to the Sheriff's Office by the store. There are no suspects at this time and the case is under investigation.
