Athens Police looking for two suspects in Wal-Mart theft.

Athens Police are looking for two men who stole more than $8,000.00 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart in Athens about 3:50 a.m. Monday morning. The thieves got a bolt cutter from the hardware department and cut the lock off of the computer storage area. They loaded two shopping carts with merchandise and left through the garden center.
A short time later the men re-entered the store. The men loaded two more shopping carts and left the store. In all the thieves stole a Sony X-Plode car stereo, 2- headrest DVD players (for vehicles), 2-flipdown DVD players (for vehicles), 1-HP 17" monitor, 2-Dell Dimension computers, 4-HP laptop computers, 1-Gateway laptop computer, 1-Gateway 15" monitor, and 2-Toshiba laptop computers.Anyone with information on the identity of the two men are asked to call Sgt. Jason White at 256-233-8700. The men left in a white SUV.
