Electoral Commission computers stolen

POLICE are investigating a weekend break-in at an Electoral Commission of Queensland office on the Gold Coast.
Thieves are believed to have smashed a window at the Ashmore Road premises, on either Saturday night or Sunday morning, before making off with two laptops.
The Commission has told police the Dell computers stolen did not contain sensitive information and were password-protected.
The crime is not believed to be politically motivated and anybody with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
