$8,500 stolen from United Way building

Wire Reports

At least $8,500 in computers and cash was stolen over the weekend from the Columbus United Way building.

The incident was reported Sunday afternoon and believed to have occurred some time after 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

The building houses several offices funded by United Way and Turning Point, Su Casa, Youth Hope and Legal Aid, all of which were burglarized.

At least seven Dell laptop computers, a Dell projector, a digital camera, a small amount of cash and credit cards were stolen, according to Columbus Police Department.

Police asked anyone with information to contact CPD Detective Chris Couch, 376-2628.
